PART 2

Isaiah 40:12-26

1.  GOD IS THE MIGHTY CREATOR.

“Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of His great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.” Isaiah 40:26 (NLT)

“Who else has held the oceans in His hand? Who has measured off the heavens with His fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale?” Isaiah 40:12 (NLT) 

“You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship You.” Nehemiah 9:6 (NLT)

“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”  Hebrews 11:3 (NIV)

2.  GOD IS OUR MERCIFUL FATHER.

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31 (NIV)

“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.’” Matthew 6:9 (NIV)

3.  GOD CAN BE KNOWN.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!” Psalm 34:8 (NLT)

“I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19 (NIV)

“As God has said: ‘I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people’…And, ‘I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.’” 2 Corinthians 6:16b, 18 (NIV)
