Part 2: The Three Voices Of God
BLOCKBUSTERS - REMADE
PART - 2
1. THE BIBLE
It provides God’s point of view.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)
Worry about the things that are clear.
“This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone. But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.”
Titus 3:8-9 (NIV)
The goal of the Bible is not to make you smart, it is to change how you live.
2. THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit gives us spiritual insight and guidance.
“There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now. When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future.”
John 16:12-13 (NLT)
The Holy Spirit changes us from the inside out.
“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.”
Philippians 2:13 (NIV)
3. WISE COUNSEL FROM OTHER PEOPLE
“Pride leads to conflict; those who take advice are wise.”
Proverbs 13:10 (NLT)
We all need another set of ears to hear God.
“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)
Together we can figure out things we’d miss on our own.
