PART 6

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV)

• The Fruit of the Spirit is God producing His character in us.  

• Faithfulness takes time.

1. HOW IS GOD FAITHFUL?

“He is the Rock; His deeds are perfect. Everything He does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright He is!” Deuteronomy 32:4 (NLT)

“True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful? Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about Him, ‘You will be proved right in what You say, and You will win Your case in court.’” Romans 3:3-4 (NLT)

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so.” Hebrews 13:8-9 (NIV)

2.  HOW CAN WE BE FAITHFUL LIKE GOD?      

• Be the same person everywhere with everyone.

• People of integrity are humble enough to admit their hypocrisy and courageous enough to address it.

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV)

• You don’t work harder, you draw closer.
