Part 4: The Bible
THE CORE 5 - PART 4
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Exodus 14:14 (NIV)
Small changes really do make a BIG DIFFERENCE.
“But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.”
Daniel 6:10 (NLT)
Based on who you want to be in God’s plan, what are 1-2 habits you’d like to start this year?
1. THE BIBLE PROVIDES WISDOM AND GUIDANCE.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
Choose a specific time and location.
“Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders.”
Deuteronomy 6:7-8 (NLT)
Tell someone your plan.
“Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.”
Proverbs 13:20 (NLT)
2. CHOOSE AN ANCHOR HABIT.
An Anchor Habit--a habit that impacts every other area of your life and brings Life Change.
“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”
1 Timothy 4:8 (NLT)
The Anchor Habit that will impact every other area of your life is engaging daily in God’s Word.
