1. THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS IS FOR EVERYONE.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19 (NIV)
2. GOD CONTROLS THE UNIVERSE TO ACCOMPLISH HIS PURPOSES.
“In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.” Luke 2:1 (NIV)
“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Psalm 46:10 (NLT)
3. THE WISDOM OF THIS WORLD HAS BEEN TURNED UPSIDE-DOWN ON ITS HEAD.
“Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?” 1 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV)
The wisdom of this world has an expiration date.
The wisdom of the world is inadequate.
The wisdom of the world is shallow.
“When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” Matthew 2:10-11 (NIV)
