Psalms
The Psalms are unique. They are spiritual journals written to God. In the Psalms, we read over the shoulder of people as they maneuver through hard times, challenges, as well as great times in life. Over and over, they teach us about God, how to live for God, and that we can open our hearts to God.
Pain is a reality. Just as other events in your life drive you somewhere, so does pain. The question is, where does your pain drive you? God desires for your pain to drive you to Him.
God knows everything and understands your needs even when you don’t. You need a safe place to turn to when the messiness of your life becomes overwhelming.
Have you ever felt like life is stacked against you? 2020 has been one of those times. The news is that life will bring storms and with it many reasons to fear, however, the good news is, God is with you.
When you hang out with people that make you better, it will be far better in the end than if you follow “the crowd”. You compass has to be calibrated with the Word of God or the direction you end up going will always be the wrong one.
God knows every single thing about you. There can be an authenticity about your relationship with Him. Anxiety is fed by doubts and fears and God is always there with compassion, even in your worst moments.
Getting back on track after you have messed up can be difficult. The healing starts with your brokenness. That is where the power and purpose of the cross begins in your life.
When God answers “no” it is never random. He leads you through both calm moments and dark valleys. When God takes over, He is concerned more about who you are than where you are.
You may tend to think of God in terms of physical size, but God cannot be measured by metrics. Do you believe that He can do all things, that He holds the world, your world together? If not, maybe it is time to see just how big God really is.
